The Henry Walter Tidwell Memorial Scholarship Foundation was created by Gwendolyn Tidwell to honor the lives and legacies of Henry Walter Tidwell, Sr. and Henry Walter Tidwell, Jr. The project called for a digital space that could preserve their memory while inspiring opportunity for future generations. I designed and developed a website that captures the heart of their story while simplifying the application process for students and community partners. The site includes a secure JotForm submission system, partner logo linking, and subtle animations that bring warmth and movement to each page.
Guided by Mrs. Tidwell’s vision of faith, education, and community service, the design conveys both reverence and hope. Its color palette and imagery were chosen to symbolize growth and remembrance, while the clean structure ensures visitors can easily learn, apply, or contribute. The result is a platform that not only honors the Tidwell family’s legacy but continues their work of uplifting others through access and opportunity.
